Come and Say Hello: Ess Click at Have a Go Day 2026, Burswood Park

I'm delighted to share that Ess Click will be at Have a Go Day this year, and I'd love for you to come and say hello!

About Have a Go Day 2026

Have a Go Day is one of the biggest and best-loved events on the Western Australian seniors' calendar. Run by the Seniors Recreation Council of WA as part of WA Seniors Week, it's a free, fun day out for people aged 55 and over, with more than 200 stalls, activities, demonstrations, and entertainment spread across the lovely grounds of Burswood Park. It's a wonderful chance to try something new, meet new people, and find out about local services and clubs all in one place.

Why Come and See Ess Click?

If you've ever felt a bit unsure about using your computer, tablet or smartphone, or you're worried about scam emails, texts, and phone calls, this is a relaxed, no-pressure way to ask your questions face-to-face with someone friendly.

When you drop by, we can chat about:

• In-home computer lessons, one-on-one, at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home

• Group training sessions for friends, clubs, community groups, and retirement villages

• Staying safe online, including how to spot fake emails, scam texts, and dodgy phone calls (just like in our Click Smart cyber safety series)

• Anything else that's been puzzling you about technology, from setting up email to backing up your photos

There's no jargon, no judgement, and no obligation. Just a friendly conversation.

Making the Most of Your Day

Have a Go Day is big, so a little planning helps:

• Wear comfortable shoes and a hat, as it's a full day outdoors at Burswood Park

• Bring water and sunscreen, since November in Perth can be warm

• Bring a family member or friend to make the day more fun

• Jot down your tech questions beforehand, so you don't forget them when you stop by for a chat

• Check the event guide for parking and public transport information before you head out

Can't Make It on the Day?

No problem at all. You're always welcome to get in touch for a free, no-obligation chat about how I can help, whether that's a lesson in your own home or a group session for your community.
